JOB DESCRIPTION Payroll Clerk We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join a well-established organization within the Accounting and Finance Department. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience processing payroll in a fast-paced environment. This is a temporary position with an immediate start date. Responsibilities Process biweekly or monthly payroll accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain employee payroll records, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Review and verify timekeeping records, deductions, and adjustments. Prepare and distribute payroll reports for management and accounting teams. Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and other payroll-related issues. Support the accounting team with general administrative and financial tasks as needed. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. 2+ years of payroll or accounting experience required. Working knowledge of payroll software and Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment.
