Payroll Clerk (Temp)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Payroll Clerk
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join a well-established organization within the Accounting and Finance Department. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience processing payroll in a fast-paced environment.
This is a temporary position with an immediate start date.
 
Responsibilities

  • Process biweekly or monthly payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain employee payroll records, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Review and verify timekeeping records, deductions, and adjustments.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports for management and accounting teams.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and other payroll-related issues.
  • Support the accounting team with general administrative and financial tasks as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of payroll or accounting experience required.
  • Working knowledge of payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment.
