  • Lead ERP (NetSuite) administration, reporting, and integration.
  • Oversee and mentor two internal IT software support staff (strong in C#).
  • Expand team skills in NetSuite and PHP.
  • Provide direction for application development and cross-system integrations.

Key Responsibilities of the IT Manager

Leadership & Team Development

  • Supervise and coach two IT software support staff.
  • Build team capability in NetSuite administration and PHP.
  • Establish coding/documentation standards and peer-review practices.

ERP & Business Systems

  • Act as Client’s ERP (NetSuite) administrator and primary contact.
  • Oversee ERP enhancements, module rollouts, upgrades, and user training.
  • Deliver reporting, dashboards, and business intelligence from ERP data.
  • Support integrations with CAD/Genesis, MES/WMS, and shop-floor systems.

Application Development & Integrations

  • Guide team in maintaining and enhancing C# applications.
  • Oversee conversions from VBA/AutoLISP to C#.
  • Coordinate PHP and low-code automation projects.
  • Drive API/ETL integrations between ERP, CAD, and production systems.

Vendor & Partner Management

  • Serve as the main liaison to MSP (network, Tier 1/2 helpdesk, cybersecurity).
  • Oversee performance against SLAs, manage contracts, and escalate issues.
  • Coordinate with ERP consultants, integrators, and third-party developers.

Cybersecurity & Compliance (Governance)

  • Ensure NIST/ISO-aligned policies are implemented and maintained.
  • Oversee incident response readiness and annual penetration tests.
  • Lead employee training in security awareness.

Strategic Planning & Projects

  • Own the 3–5 year IT roadmap, including ERP evolution and automation.
  • Partner with leadership to align technology investments with business goals.
  • Lead IT projects (ERP expansions, integrations, dashboards, etc.) with clear ROI and change management practices.

Qualifications of the IT Manager

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Information Systems, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years progressive IT leadership or ERP/system ownership experience.
  • Strong background in ERP (NetSuite preferred), reporting, and integrations.
  • Experience with programming/scripting (C#, PHP, Python, or JavaScript).
  • Demonstrated vendor-management and project leadership skills.

Preferred/Pluses

  • NetSuite certification(s) or advanced ERP implementation experience.
  • Exposure to CAD/CAM or manufacturing MES/WMS systems.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST/ISO).

Core Competencies of the IT Manager

  • Leadership – Builds team skills, mentors staff, sets direction.
  • Accountability – Holds vendors and partners to high standards.
  • Innovation – Finds ways to streamline processes and connect systems.
  • Communication – Explains technical concepts clearly to non-technical teams.

Why Join Our Client?
