Safety Manager


Experienced Safety Manager needed for a manufacturing plant in South Huntsville. This is a Direct Hire opportunity.  $55-58K with solid benefit package. 

Duties of the Safety Manager include:

  • Ensuring that all state and federal regulatory requirements are met
  • Manage, modify, and create safety programs to ensure the highest compliance
  • Seek out industry best practices as well as more effective and efficient methods to achieve operational excellence in safety prevention and compliance programs
  • Stays current on changes to regulations and effectively communicates those changes
  • Clearly communicates the expectation and responsibilities of the company’s safety program
  • Updates and implements training procedures and programs; conducts Safety meetings
  • Ensures compliance and mandated training is implemented
  • Conducts incident investigations, root-cause analysis, follow-up and action items as needed
  • Coordinates internal audit processes to ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations; assists with scheduling and administration of external audits
  • Produces reports and recommendations based on inspection findings

Preferred Qualification of the Safety Manager include:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in safety/compliance including training and audits
  • Experience with and deep knowledge of standards including NFPA, ATF, EPA, OSHA and other industry-related regulatory authority
  • Effective written, verbal and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated advocate for safety excellence
  • Candidates for the position will be drug tested and background checked prior to starting work
